I’m Teagan, one half of the dynamic duo that brought you the culinary stylings of Burnt Barrel! I am a Gero native, leaving our little coastal community at 17 to head to the big smoke and complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, majoring in Business Law and Marketing Management.

I am deeply passionate about the hospitality and retail industry. With a career spanning over 2 decades, including some incredible highs, and devastatingly lows, making me confident that I can handle whatever crazy you throw at me, both on a Business or Personal level!

As the owner of SkyBox Studio, a premier health and wellness hub, I’ve dedicated my career to transformation and community well-being. I’ve faced the highs and lows of business ownership, from navigating COVID lockdowns to overcoming cyclone disasters.

Meet Sarah, our incredibly talented mentor based in Exmouth!

I’ve spent over 15 years working in the design industry, starting as a graphic designer in a fast-paced printing facility.

Over time, I grew my skill set, earning a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing, a Diploma in Marketing, a Trade Certificate as a print machinist, and a certification in Business Services. My experiences in design, marketing, and business have given me a strong foundation to approach challenges creatively and strategically.

For more than three and a half years, I had the privilege of serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Exmouth Chamber of Commerce & Industry. In this role, I honed my skills in strategic leadership, grant writing, business support services, and stakeholder relationship building. I also developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges businesses face in remote regions like ours.

Personally, I’m known for my positive attitude, creativity, and innovative mindset. I thrive on project management, public speaking, and building lasting relationships with local businesses, government bodies, and funding partners. As someone passionate about community development, I am dedicated to using my skills and knowledge to help local businesses thrive throughout the Gascoyne and beyond. This place is my home, and supporting our community is something I truly love to do.
