RUST BUCKET DESIGNS!

A little bit about Rust Bucket Designs.... The name Rust Bucket was originally what we called our household property, as we use a lot of rusty rustic pieces around our yard, It is what we love! 2015 Michael started playing with a plasma cutter and has always enjoyed welding and our hobby Rust Bucket Designs - Metal Art was born. Fast forward to the present and our hobby has transformed into a small business that we now both enjoy creating together. Michael is a FIFO HD diesel mechanic and he creates in his downtime, Taryn is his trusty sidekick with contributing to the drawing, grinding, recently learnt to weld and selling/marketing our creations.

Your "WHY"

Our WHY is that we really enjoy what we do! We love to see our creations around our town (and also elsewhere) The whole process of seeing steel become rusty metal art is really cool! We have a vision of one day having a Rust Bucket Designs studio.

The Hardest Parts Of Small Business Ownership

Knowing your worth... The feeling of are we good enough to make and sell our creations is sometimes overwhelming but then we look back 9years and here we are.....custom orders still coming in and happy customers returning for more. So it's a bit of the hardest and a highlight.

The Highlights and Best Parts of Small Business Ownership

Freedom and Flexibility. We can set our own hours that suit our family and we have control over what we decide to create and when.

Achievements and Milestones

We have created metal art for some of our local schools and businesses. This makes us very proud.

When You're Not Working

I enjoy colouring in, mosaicing and we both spend time dreaming up plans for our property.

Collaboration and Opportunities

We are hoping to have some of our products available is some shops around Geraldton in the near future!
